looncallsi was sick this week, so seems like a great time to start doing WIP Wednesday on a Thursday and not include any WIPs.
> hbo war rewatch schedule arrived! i really like the prompts this year. Week 4: Letters made me unearth a concept i was toying with where sledgefu's kids take it upon themselves to send the letters their father's wouldnt. Week 11: Medics seems like a good time to write about stretcher bearer duty. the first week of prompts are Goodbyes, Trouble, Selfless Acts, Yellow and the two episodes are The Pacific 1 & 2. im not thinkling about them much yet, but theyre really good ones, aren't they?
> i worked on cpl. robot (learned columns!), ladyMischief's draft, posted a john egan study, wrote an awful lot of halloween concept stuff, decided the next installment of sledgefu b17 gunner au should be a christmas oneshot (What Are You Doing New Year's Eve?), and of course moved notes over (getting their own docs: clegan femslash & hetbend).
> the most important update is for Syllables fic! the posted stories remain distinct from the WIP but 'Said Again and Again' with its censoring and double-storytelling went over Very Well. red and blue combined with no issue (red blacked out, blue affected by red's pseudo-absence) and i think i know how to include green (contain it within a border). easy enough code to learn, too. i added a few more rules to workspace (like no arguing/yelling--and i was able to recontextualize my favorite "You're my wife." line so its actually much better now) so now i really have to tidy up workspace and the playlist but thats life.
> im looking forward to getting my assignment for HAHE2024. i havent done an exchange since the one i bombed back in 2021 so im nervous, but i think i can do it.
